[LOWER REZ]...Calgary 1971 band Cannonball in rehearsal. Recorded with one microphone in my basement on 14th street one dark night. The machine was an Akai 4000DS half-track reel to reel. I only had 3 still photos to work with for the video. Thanks to Jim Lewis for cleaning up the sound somewhat.

In 1987 on the 20th anniversary of the 'hippy rag' underground newspaper, publisher Dan McLeod put on a bash. We did a retrospective for Pacific Report. See also the 15th (1982) and 30th (1997) The Last Streetfighter) anniversary docs on RUclips.

I did this doc on the newspaper for Pacific Report in 1982 with Frank Fry. (15th anniversary of the paper). Some old footage of Dan McLeod and the 'busts'. I also did docs on the 20th and the 30th anniversaries. I hope to do one on the 50th anniversary in 2007 :)

We did a short profile of Joe Keithley (aka Joey Shithead) of the legendary DOA punk band in early 1989. DOA was one of the first PUNK bands in the world. He was shooting a movie at the time with Gene Kiniski the wrestler. Joe is now running for the NDP MLA legislative seat in Coquitlam BC. Canada. Please vote for him. He's a great and committed guy. (I'm not even an NDP supporter and I'd vote ...

    From reading the description. This is certainly an old video (it mentions it being shot in 1987) the kids would all be middle aged adults now (much like yours truly) I wonder if Charlotte is still doing music.

    Thank you for sharing this. I've never seen this before. I've been a Valdy fan since the first time I heard him on my transistor radio and I've been to 7 of his concerts. He is a pleasure to chat with, and a joy to listen to his music.

    Trudy’s daughter just sold the land, had been in the family for 100 yrs. I believe some non profit organization got all the money through donations from around the world. Just under 700,000. Then it was donated and preserved to the Twedsmuir national park. A fitting ending to such an iconic place.

    The secret of my success has such a deep connection to my life. My mum loved Michael J Fox and she loved that movie, my dad was often busy so when it was on tv she used to let me stay up late to watch it with her, I think she just wanted the company but I can’t watch it without a deep sense of nostalgia

      That had ZERO to do with it. It was lack of focus and draining weight in favor of speed, and his stupid dad was a terrible manager (something all the top trainers in Canada were saying at the time). He should've moved to NYC like he did, but gotten rid of his dad and went into the proving grounds of those NY gyms.

    • @kidmack3556
      @kidmack3556 3 месяца назад

      @exspiravit6920 He could've done all those things and more. He needed sparring partners to touch him with some leather! As soon as he took one on the button ... he didn't get up. Olajide, Curry, Lacy, Breland, Cooney, De Witt, Jones Jr. etc. etc. All great skills but with the same chin.... What I remember seeing in the few fights of Michael's that were televised down here was another one who didn't like getting hit. And that's exactly the reason why I have critiqued him the way that I have.

    Joe was a good friend, I would call him out of the blue and we'd carry on a conversation from where we left off. I spoke to him about a month before his passing. He was still full of life ,so i was shocked, to learn that he had passed away. Joe was a walking good time wherever he went. I still remember dancing the Red River jig in the Hougan's Department Store during the annual Sourdough Rendevous. Loved that guy like an older brother.
